Days of week rule
The Days of week rule shows a widget only on the days you select, such as weekends or Monday to Friday. The current day is worked out in the timezone you choose in the rule, and that same timezone applies to every visitor, wherever they are.

How it works
The rule reads Show on days in timezone. When the page loads, Personizely takes the current date and time in the configured timezone and checks whether that day is one you selected.
Because the configured timezone applies to everyone, all visitors see the widget during the same real-world hours. For example, with Friday selected in New York time:

The visitor's own timezone and device clock are never used.

Behavior details and limitations
- Pick your store's timezone. The default is the timezone of the browser you edited the rule in. If your team works in another timezone than your store, change it.
- No day selected means never. A rule with no days blocks the widget everywhere.
- Checked at page load. A visitor who loads a page at 23:59 on the last allowed day can still see the widget from a trigger that fires after midnight on that page.
- Combine with Timeframe for hours. Both rules use their own timezone setting. With an overnight Timeframe such as 22:00 to 02:00 and only Friday selected, the widget stops at midnight, because it's Saturday from then on.
- Scheduling is different. The widget's start and end date use the visitor's device clock. Days of week and Timeframe use the configured timezone.
Examples
- Weekend sale bar: Show on weekends in your store's timezone, with a Landing trigger.
- Live chat prompt on business days: Monday to Friday plus a Timeframe of 09:00 to 18:00, both in your support team's timezone.
Troubleshooting
- Widget shows a day early or late for some visitors → expected: the day is worked out in the configured timezone, not the visitor's.
- Widget never shows → no day is selected, or the timezone is set to a region where it isn't one of those days yet.
