Dashboard
The Dashboard is the first page you see in Personizely. It shows how your whole site performed over the last 24 hours, the progress of your running A/B tests and personalizations, how your active widgets convert, and whether the Personizely snippet is installed and how much it weighs. Use it as a daily check. Open a campaign or widget report for decisions.
What's on the Dashboard
Card | What it shows |
|---|---|
Onboarding | Setup steps for new accounts, until they're done |
Sitewide performance | Visitors and a key metric for your whole site, hour by hour over the last 24 hours |
Campaigns | Up to 5 running experiments or personalizations, with lift and test progress |
Widgets | Up to 5 running widgets, with views and conversion rate |
Snippet | Install status, tracking status, snippet size and the features it loads |
Sitewide performance
A line chart of the last 24 hours in hourly points, in your browser's time zone, for all visitors to your site, not just those in campaigns.
Control | What it does | Default |
|---|---|---|
Metric | CVR (conversion rate), RPV (revenue per visitor), PPV (profit per visitor), AOV (average order value). PPV appears when profit tracking is on | CVR |
Goal | Which goal the metric is calculated on | Purchase (when available) |
Next to the chart:
- the overall value of the metric for the 24 hours;
- visitors: distinct visitors in the period;
- conversions: distinct visitors who reached the goal, the same way campaign reports count conversion rate, not the raw number of goal hits.
Revenue and profit metrics use the same definitions as campaign reports. See Statistics methodology. For a new website with less than 24 hours of history, the card shows that data is still being collected.
Campaigns
Lists your running campaigns, newest first. When both kinds exist, a toggle switches between Experiments and Personalizations. If nothing is running, scheduled and draft campaigns are listed instead, with a status badge.
For each experiment:
- days running and visitors in the test;
- lift: the best variation's improvement over the baseline on the campaign's primary metric (CVR, RPV, PPV or AOV), since the campaign was created;
- Goal hits for the primary goal;
- a progress ring: the fill is how much of the required sample size has been collected, and the color is the current confidence, from grey (not measurable yet) through orange and yellow to green once it reaches the campaign's significance level. Hover it for the exact numbers;
- a Significant badge once a variation reaches the significance level.
For each personalization: views and goal hits for the primary goal.
Click a row to open the full campaign report.
Widgets
Lists your running widgets, newest first, falling back to scheduled and draft widgets when none are running.
For each widget: days running, goal hits, contacts collected and revenue (where there are any), plus Views and CVR. CVR here is the widget conversion rate: widget conversions ÷ views. An Experiment badge marks widgets with a running A/B test. Click a row to open the widget report.
Snippet
Item | Meaning |
|---|---|
Tracking active | Personizely is receiving data from your site |
"The snippet was not detected on your site" | Nothing is tracked until the snippet is installed. Click Check again after installing. See Install |
"Tracking is paused" | Pause tracking is on: campaigns and widgets don't run, and visits and new visitors aren't tracked (on Shopify, orders from already-tracked visitors are still attributed). Click Resume to turn it off |
Size (KB, gzipped, estimated) | What visitors download, split into JS runtime and Config data (your campaigns, widgets and settings) |
Feature list | The features currently loaded in your snippet, such as widgets, campaigns or integrations |
The snippet only includes the features your website uses, so the size grows with active campaigns, widgets and integrations, and shrinks when you remove them. See How Personizely works and Performance and flicker.
Behavior details and limitations
- 24 hours, not a date range. The Dashboard always shows the last 24 hours. For longer periods, open a campaign or widget report and choose a date range.
- Sitewide versus campaign numbers. Sitewide performance covers every tracked visitor. Campaign lift covers only visitors in that campaign, since the campaign was created. The two aren't comparable.
- Campaign lift ignores report filters and goal choices. It always uses the primary goal and primary metric since the campaign was created.
- Lift isn't a verdict. An early lift of +30% with a grey ring is noise. Wait for the ring to fill and turn green, or for the report's verdict.
- Refresh. Dashboard figures update every few minutes. A conversion that just happened can take a few minutes to appear.
- Only 5 items per card. Use the Campaigns and Widgets pages for the full lists.
- Filtered traffic isn't included. Bots and visitors excluded by traffic filtering don't appear.
