Install Personizely on Wix
To install Personizely on a Wix site, you add the Personizely app to the site. The app creates or connects your Personizely account and adds the snippet to every page automatically, with no code to paste. The connection also gives Personizely your Wix products, cart and orders, so cart targeting, cart triggers and purchase tracking work out of the box.

Install the app
- Add Personizely to your site from the Wix App Market, or, in Personizely, go to Settings → Integrations → Wix and click connect.
- Choose the Wix site and approve the permissions.
- You're sent back to Personizely. A new account and website are created if you didn't have one. The snippet is added to your site automatically, and Settings → Website confirms "The code was automatically installed to ."
- Publish your Wix site if you have unpublished changes, so the live site includes the app.
Each Wix site can be connected to one Personizely website. If you try to connect a site that's already connected, you'll see "This site is already connected to a website".

Field mappings between Personizely fields and Wix contact fields are set in Settings → Integrations → Wix.
Verify it works
- Open your published site (not the Wix editor preview) in a normal browser window.
- Open the developer console. You should see Personizely initialized. Startup time: <n>ms.
- In Personizely, the Snippet card on the Dashboard shows tracking as active once your first visit is tracked.
- Add a product to the cart with a test Add to cart popup running to check cart triggers.
Behavior details and limitations
- No code to manage. The snippet is added and kept up to date by the Wix app. The Asynchronous script loading setting doesn't apply to Wix, because the app controls how the script is loaded.
- The connection can't be removed from the integrations list. Wix is your platform integration. To remove Personizely, remove the app from your Wix site.
- The Proceeding to checkout trigger can't pause checkout on Wix. It fires when checkout starts, but Wix continues to checkout, so a widget may not be seen. Use it for tracking, and prefer cart-page or exit-intent widgets for offers.
- Add to cart triggers can't filter by variant on Wix, and unique coupon codes are Shopify-only.
- The editor preview doesn't run the snippet. Test on the published site.
- Theme, template, price and shipping tests are Shopify-only. On Wix you can run content, split URL and full-stack campaigns, and all widget types.
- Disconnecting removes the synced Wix products from Personizely.
Troubleshooting
- No console message on the live site → the site hasn't been published since the app was added, or you're looking at the editor preview.
- Cart widgets don't trigger → check that the widget's trigger is Add to cart and that the cart action happens through Wix's own cart.
- Purchases missing → check that the visitor loaded your site with the snippet before buying, and that the goal is the Purchase goal.
