Behavior details and limitations
- Autoplay with sound is usually blocked. Most browsers only autoplay muted videos. Personizely doesn't mute the video, so with Autoplay on, many visitors will see a paused video. Turn on Controls so they can start it.
- Hosted players keep their own branding and may show related videos at the end, depending on the platform.
- Video files play in the browser's native player. Host them on a fast CDN (for example Shopify Files) and keep them short; large files slow the widget on mobile.
- Aspect ratio. The default is 16:9. For YouTube Shorts or other vertical videos, change the size to a 9:16 ratio.
Example
A product demo popup on the product page: YouTube URL, Controls on, Title "How the blender works", followed by a Products element with Current page product recommendations.
