Weather filter
The Weather filter matches visitors by the current weather where they are: the condition (such as sunny, rain or snow), temperature, wind, humidity and more. Use it to promote raincoats when it's raining, cold drinks in a heat wave, or to test weather-aware messaging.
Available on: all platforms. Plan: Premium and higher.
How it's evaluated
The filter reads: Weather data matches all the following conditions. You add one or more conditions, and the visitor matches only when every condition is true.
The weather is the current weather at the visitor's location, found from their IP address, so it shares the Location filter's accuracy. It takes a moment to resolve. Content that depends on it stays hidden until it has, and widgets wait for it before their triggers start. If no weather data is available for the visitor, the filter doesn't match.

Behavior details
- Units are always metric. Enter Celsius, kilometers per hour, millimeters and millibars, even if your store or your visitors use imperial units. For example, 80 °F is about 27 °C.
- Use "is higher than" and "is lower than" for numbers. Measurements usually have decimals (for example 21.3 °C), so is rarely matches. Both comparisons are strict: "is higher than 25" doesn't match exactly 25.
- One condition value per row. Condition compares against a single weather description. Labels like Sunny / Clear cover the same weather by day and by night. To match any kind of rain, add several Weather filters (Light rain, Moderate rain, Heavy rain, Light rain shower…) to one group set to match any.
- Conditions in one filter all have to match. "Temperature is lower than 5" and "Wind speed is higher than 30" in the same filter means cold and windy.
- It's the weather now. There are no forecasts. The weather is checked for each page view, so a visitor can match on one page and not on a later one when the weather changes.
- VPNs and proxies. Visitors behind a VPN get the weather at the VPN's location.
Examples
- Rainy-day promotion: a group set to match any with Weather filters for "Condition is Light rain", "Condition is Moderate rain" and "Condition is Heavy rain", used as the Target rule of a popup for umbrellas.
- Heat wave: "Temperature is higher than 28", used in a personalization that swaps the homepage hero to summer products.
- Cold and windy: one Weather filter with "Temperature feeling is lower than 0" and "Wind speed is higher than 25", showing a bar for thermal jackets.
